UROS FLOATING ISLANDS TOUR - HALF DAY.
The Uros Islands are one of the most famous islands of Lake Titicaca, located at 6 km from Puno’s port. These islands are a set of artificial surfaces building of reeds, an aquatic plant that grows on the surface of Lake Titicaca, which is a very important resource for the life of the Uros, because with them they build their islands, transport (reed boats) and they use as firewood for cooking, fulfilling the function of fuel.
Itinarary
According the tour schedules, our guide will pick you up from the downtown hotels to take you at the port of the Lake Titicaca to board at the boat and head to Uros floating islands, where we will visit two of them; additionally, our local guide give you details explanations about the islands.
The First Island: about their activities, history, culture and building of the floating islands.
The Second Island: known as the main island of Uros, has a small craft market, grocery stores, if they want can get coffee, snack and use the services.
Between these two islands the families offer you a little ride by totora boats (optional and it has an additional cost of 10 PEN).
After the visit, we return to Puno city and transfer to their hotels.

It is advisable to bring :
Camera, Toilet paper and extra batteries.
A bottle of water (a liter).
Glasses, hat and sunscreen.
Lightweight and warm clothing.

- Regular boat
- Transfers hotel downtown Puno- port of the Lake Titicaca.
